Despite Rumors, New Estancia EMT Has Healthy Record

After reporting that Estancia Fire Department had hired Lester Gary as an EMT on September 18, 2024, sources approached the Mountainair Dispatch asserting that Gary had a history of disciplinary action due to negligence and misconduct. While small-town rumors can be accurate, this is not such an instance. A public record request with the New Mexico Department of Health showed no evidence of disciplinary action, licensing suspension, or ethics complaints against Gary. Similarly, a review of the New Mexico Courts case database revealed no criminal complaints or civil cases related to Gary’s status as an EMT.
