Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument is hiring a Visitor Education Intern to join its Interpretation and Visitor Services team from May through October 2026.

This position is part of the Latino Heritage Internship Program, which creates paid opportunities for young adults to work in cultural resource stewardship, interpretation, education, and visitor services.

What you’ll do:

  • Help develop hands-on educational and interpretive programs, including Junior Ranger activities and special events
  • Support youth engagement initiatives and community outreach
  • Assist with Dark Sky programs and public events
  • Collaborate with park staff and local partners
  • Create program templates and a youth engagement roadmap for future outreach

Who can apply:

  • U.S. citizen or legal resident
  • Ages 18–30 (up to 35 for veterans)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Willing to complete a background check
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and open to learning
