Estancia's Independence Day Celebration
This year's Independence Day was graced with moderate temperatures, and Estancia’s Independence Day festivities unfolded with good-natured competition. Locals gathered at Arthur Park for a spirited horseshoe tournament. At the same time, kids in streamered bikes raced each other in the bicycle derby, laughter echoing off the cottonwoods as Estancia Trustee Amy May cheered them on.
As dusk fell over Estancia, the celebration shimmered into night. Fireworks lit up the sky above Arthur Park and the baseball fields nearby, casting vivid colors across the faces of spectators sprawled on blankets and lawn chairs. Bursts of red, white, and blue sparkled overhead to close out the festivities.
